Josep Puigdengolas (1906-1987) was trained at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and later in Florence. He is considered one of the best Spanish landscape painters of the 20th century. He is represented in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Museo de Arte Moderno de Barcelona, among others.
