Josep Serrasanta (1916-1998) studied at the School of Arts and Crafts of La Lonja and was taught by Francesc Gimeno. His painting stands out for gitanillas of Barcelona, landscapes of villages, popular markets … He made several murals in fresco and oil in several Catalan churches, the most prominent of which are Santa Maria de Castelldefels and the Cathedral of Lleida. His paintings stand out for the use of bright colors.
